Hi there, my name is Bridget Michael! One of my greatest passions in life is engaging with the world and other cultures. I currently reside in Copenhagen, Denmark, but I have lived in, worked in, and traveled to many other countries.
Creator's Perspective
I've chosen to highlight a few small things in my home that are out on display: an oil lamp from Doha, Qatar from my first trip to the Middle East; a German Black Forest clock from my travels through Germany; a replica Filipino Jeepney from my family's region of Batangas, Philippines sitting on my antique Danish Amager-shelf; an antique brick mold tray from the autonomous neighborhood of Freetown Christiania in Denmark.
I believe the experience of engaging with a new culture or part of the world is an abstract exchange that is, at times, challenging to put into words. This is why I enjoy collecting small things from the places I have been - be it souvenir pins, photographs, or trinkets - to adorn my home with the memories of the abstract exchange I've brought back within myself.
