Megha is the heart and soul of Mayaani Jewellery, a name that beautifully intertwines her own with those of her children, Tayana and Niyam. At Mayaani, she creates one-of-a-kind ready to ship and bespoke, Indian-inspired jewellery that celebrates individuality while being sustainably handcrafted and exceptionally lightweight.

Her journey began at age 16 when she discovered her passion for jewellery-making, leading her to create pieces for friends and family. Despite her artistic talents, like many South Asian women, Megha felt compelled to pursue a more traditional career path, eventually earning a degree in Speech and Language Therapy. However, she struggled with personal and professional challenges, including an unfulfilling work environment and familial expectations.

The turning point came with her sister's wedding, which saw Megha discovering her unique artistic edge and reignited her passion for pursuing her dream of establishing her own jewellery brand. Realizing her true calling, she launched Mayaani Jewellery (formerly called Tayaani Jewellery) in September 2021, to reflect her cultural heritage and personal journey. Megha believes in the power of self-expression through unique pieces made from humble materials, emphasizing that true luxury lies in artistry not extravagance. Her designs bring a refreshing and sustainable new take on traditional Indian occasion jewellery offering multiple options for styling and filled with the possibility of wearing pieces as often as every day!

Through her work, she empowers individuals to embrace their uniqueness, reconnect with their heritage and embrace a less is more approach to luxury jewellery.
