Madeleine is the original jewelry brand founded by designer Madalina Tudor Radulea. Each piece is carefully handcrafted from wax and later cast in silver, emphasizing intricate detail, thoughtful design, and timeless aesthetic value.
Inspired by visual art, antique ornaments, organic textures, and raw natural forms, every piece tells a story. The brand’s signature style combines a minimalist aesthetic with a sense of history and craftsmanship. Each design is produced in small series or as one-of-a-kind creations.
In keeping with a commitment to sustainability and heritage, Madeleine uses recycled precious metals, such as silver and gold. These materials often carry decades—if not centuries—of history, melted down and reimagined into contemporary forms.
Madalina holds a degree in Product Design from the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture in Bucharest, and has completed further design studies at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and Barcelona, as well as at Istituto Marangoni in Paris.
My work begins where emotion meets material.
I see jewelry not just as adornment, but as intimate sculpture—small fragments of memory, form, and texture that live on the body. Each piece I create carries a dialogue between past and present, between rawness and refinement. I am drawn to imperfection, erosion, and the organic lines found in nature, as well as the quiet elegance of ancient artifacts.
I often begin with wax—an intuitive, tactile medium that allows me to sculpt freely and instinctively. This process gives each piece a soulful irregularity and a human imprint, far from industrial precision. Once cast in silver or gold—often recycled—these forms take on a new permanence, merging the ephemeral gesture of the hand with the enduring weight of metal.
Influenced by architecture, visual art, and forgotten ornament, I explore how jewelry can act as a portable piece of history—not only something to wear, but something to feel, to remember, and to pass on.
