I am a Japanese jewelry designer and Founder of CQL jewelry. A former magazine editor and writer, I quit my job and learnt jewelry making and design at a jewelry school in Tokyo. I create each piece by hand using materials such as silver, brass, and precious metals.
Creator's Perspective
When I design jewelry, I first focus on simplicity. I also try to incorporate one of the following tastes: cool, cute, unique. These are essential for my jewelry. I have three brands for each of these tastes. The common alphabet letters from these brands are combined to form CQL jewelry.
CQL: This brand pursue universal beauty, chic and stylish designs.
Co.QueLe: Inspired by nature, such as stars, the moon, and snow, I create accessories that convey a handmade touch.
CQ-Labo: The brand name stands for "Curiosity Quest Laboratory". True to its name, it presents unique pieces designed to spark curiosity.
